i receved an email from disney saying that there will be an audition here in manila july 11. i have to call first to register. two days before july 11 one afternoon i tried to contact the number but all i get was a busy tone. it just wasnt fair. but i guess this is not the right time to get closer to my dreams on working in the entertainment industry.
i have memorized a monologue about a young geeky girl deprived of her chances to prove herself at a science fiction convention. it was nice to memorize it coz, i kinda relate to her. i wasn’t taunted or anything for being four eyes (coz my classmates called me an adroid taken from the hit anime dragonball z) but i could definitely relate to her for being singled out of the crowd and the least person to be liked. i have memorized it but it still is a long way to go thinking that my audience is just myself. i wonder what it feels like performing in front of the crowd in an amphitheater or stage or in front of the camera. more dreaming but less action…
i received two audition calls via my email. i turned it down and didnt show up.
ok…i dont know if this is a valid explanation why i didnt take the chance. my family is in a tight budget problem. i have a task to help them even just a little so i decided to push auditioning aside and apply for an office job where salary is an assurance. now i am on my training for this job which deals with something i have a knack on doing so its not disappointing.
hence, after responsibilities subside, that’ll be the time to ACT.
