Carrots, celery, mushrooms- all in raw form have given me better skin, regularity and helped with water retention. Unfortunately, doesn’t taste as good as pizza, chocolate, or cookies. One day my taste buds will convert to the healthy stuff for good.

Why is it that my bf’s family keeps giving me chocolate, that the bf gave me 5 pounds of chocolate for Valentine’s day, and cupcake visions are appearing? Why oh why?

This is going to sound gross but I’ve had cravings for prunes and I’ve been choosing them over the peanut M&Ms. Good news is that its super sweet and fills you up and later on it helps cleanse you out properly. Peanut M&Ms I will miss you but only for a minute.

This is a special challenge for me especially now that I’ve received a 5 pound box of See’s chocolates from the BF for V day. I think he’s trying to tell me something. I think he’s trying to tell me that even though I’m trying to eat healthier, he’d still like my “tush” to be healthier too. We have a conflict here.

Last night, went out for sushi but was very proud of myself for sticking with the vegetable sushi. Very filling for 8 pieces.



Eating Healthy Vs. Junk 22 months ago

The healthy food (vegetables and fruits) makes my skin look better, makes me less tired. I just wish all the healthy stuff tasted better than the junk food.

Had the salad, the carrots, the apple and a couple of eggs for protein. But, I did have one chocolate cookie after which I refrained from having another. Very pleased to not have attacked a whole lot more. I just would not have been very happy.

I did not pick up the chocolate or cookies at work yesterday. I need to pat myself on the back for that one since I’m a sugar junkie. Baby steps right?

I keep whining I’m getting fat but then I eat crappy stuff like high fatty, carbo-laden pastries and such. Enough!
