Until I got sick. Dont you hate that? When you’re working out and really in the swing of things and then you’re sick?
Well I’ve been sick THREE TIMES since I was killing myself to get to the gym as often as possible. Twice in June and once now. I don’t get it! Hopefully I won’t have a bad winter if I have three colds in the summer to boost my immune system :)

with how listless and exanimate i feel lately, i need this running more than ever. I’m feeling postnasal drippy though and i’m afraid i’m getting a cold before its even cold out!

I’ve lost weight via barely eating but i haven’t been running. I’ve been a slacker.

Then the you know what came and I felt too miserable to run. grrr. i dont know when I’m getting back in the saddle but I sure do hope it is within the next week!

I have ran/walked at least 2 miles every day for 10 days. Today was a long haul. I jogged and walked intermittently for 5 miles. I still felt good! probs bc it was nice n flat- ty FL! and it was 730-930 am instead of 2pm back in MD when I usu run! So since i felt good i stopped home and grabbed a cheesestick and banana, set on walking 2 more miles, kind of as a cool down but also to burn more cals, and I was still having fun so it wasn’t torture.
But 1.6 miles in, i felt blisters forming! So I hurried on home, at 6.6miles, 1 hour 40 minutes. I have a race sunday morning and i do NOT want blisters for that, so i went home, jumped in the pool and now im gonna have my favorite florida meal- a cuban sandwich!
My total calorie burn for this week only (the last 6 days!) is 2,360!! you can check out all of it (like you care) on www.sparkpeople.com if you look for me under sparkpages. (sn b0gdana) I love that website, it keeps me so motivated!

5 miles today - I love my garmin!  — 1 year ago

I have a garmin 201 that really helps keep me motivated. I attached a screen catch of what I get to see when I am done with a workout.
Today was the first time I’ve ever tried running longer than 4 miles. I had a lot of walk breaks (you can tell from the graph), but it was still good exercise. 1 hour 7 minutes, 550 calories burned!

I did this this week already!  — 1 year ago

I ran a 5K and walked back to my car culminating 4.25 miles on Sunday; I did 23 minutes 2.1 miles yesterday on the elliptical at the gym; and I walked 2 miles this morning totalling 900 calories burned and 8.35 miles, give or take. THat’s three days! Lets see if I can keep it up… it helps that it isn’t 5 degrees out!

Whoo hoo I rock (today)  — 1 year ago

I’m feeling good about myself today! I ran and walked 4.25 miles and drank 3 liters of fluids (almost all water) before 10 am this morning! I went to the 5K my hospital was sponsoring and, unless I started my Garmin at the wrong time, It ended at 3.6 miles which is 1/2 mile longer than a 5k. I don’t mind because I need the exercise, but I felt kinda bummed because I wanted to see if I could run better this time than last. I stopped and restarted my Garmin at 3.1 miles though for my own sake and I finished 3.1 miles at 35:15 which is the best ever (Thank you many downward slopes), and I finished the whole thing in 42:03 which even on my WORST day, I would not have ran that slow for a 5K (w/walk breaks obviously, normal people who run straight through generally make it between 26-31 minutes instead of my 35).

I measured the walk back to the car as exercise (because, it WAS) so that’s where my 4.25 total comes from. I burned 483 calories. :) I love running I wish I wouldn’t me lazy and skip it so much.

I went to the gym last monday and worked out for 20 minutes and got too tired. Man! I am out of it. I will be going for at LEAST a walk tomorrow morning.
TOday I walked to the grocery store (don’t get to impressed its only about 0.3 miles away), then realized I forgot my coupons and had to go home, then went back, then carried three bags of groceries home so that was at least a little something.
I need to get my iPod updated and charged!

I haven’t ran! I said I would and I’m a liar! But good news. Tomorrow is my last exam, and I am free for three weeks, so I better get out there and run!
