I’m feeling good about myself today! I ran and walked 4.25 miles and drank 3 liters of fluids (almost all water) before 10 am this morning! I went to the 5K my hospital was sponsoring and, unless I started my Garmin at the wrong time, It ended at 3.6 miles which is 1/2 mile longer than a 5k. I don’t mind because I need the exercise, but I felt kinda bummed because I wanted to see if I could run better this time than last. I stopped and restarted my Garmin at 3.1 miles though for my own sake and I finished 3.1 miles at 35:15 which is the best ever (Thank you many downward slopes), and I finished the whole thing in 42:03 which even on my WORST day, I would not have ran that slow for a 5K (w/walk breaks obviously, normal people who run straight through generally make it between 26-31 minutes instead of my 35).
I measured the walk back to the car as exercise (because, it WAS) so that’s where my 4.25 total comes from. I burned 483 calories. :) I love running I wish I wouldn’t me lazy and skip it so much.
