Why do we elect humans as presidents of the united states. Humans change their minds, make logical mistakes, make rash decisions swayed by emotion, get sick, get killed, lie, mislead and don’t follow through with campaign promises.
If we have presidential candidates in the form of computer source code, which has parameters describing how the program would react to different scenarios, what its foreign, economic, military etc policies would be, everybody could read through the program and there would be no surprises once the president was elected. We wouldn’t have to worry about what this program has done in the past coming back to haunt it, because the president would simply be a set of logical rules.
This is probably the best idea I’ve ever had. Right after hacky-babies (a cross between hacky sacks and beanie babies).
