understand what's going on at seminar

I’ve tried to keep up with the studying, and came to the realization that will alone cannot drive a person to give a damn. And really the fundamental reason I don’t understand what’s going on at seminar is that in many cases I don’t care to. So it goes.

You know what you care about!

During the year we have a seminar every week. I have no frickin idea what’s going on most of the time. My background doesn’t mesh with most of the topics, ranging from signalling to NMR.

I’ve begun studying in the mornings… I think I’ve got a workable goal of studying about an hour a day, with a half hour review. If I cover topics I’m interested in, and a few that are good for me, I think that in a few months I should be able to follow these seminars (or know as I suspect that some of them are just plain bad talks).
