Really

need to start working on this again… hopefully now term is about to start again it will give me that extra push!

3. White Cube

What is it?

A cute little gallery that, on the two occasions Ive visited, has had a Damien Hirst exhibition.

One thing I learnt?

There is actually another White Cube gallery and I have been to the smaller one. Cant wait to go to the other one though as the exhibiton continues there.

Worth seeing?

If youre in the area and you enjoy seeing contemporary art in a quiet location they why not. This exhibiton which ends in January consists of crows in midflight which I loved and skulls which … were you know, skullish.

Rating 7/10

2. The National Gallery

What is it?

Degas, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Monet, Manet, Vermeer, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Rousseau, Raphael, Bellini, Holbein, Rembrandt. Basically a collection of artwork by some of the most renowned artists on earth, although not the paintings you’d expect.

One thing I learnt?

It is unbelievable what can be achieved with a little (or in some cases, alot) of paint.

Worth seeing?

If youre even remotely interested in art this is a must see. It really inspires you to be creative and will awaken the artist in you … it did in me!

Rating: 7/10

1. British Museum

What is it?

Not so much British museum, but more multinational museum full of nothing remotely british. Mainly statues & artifacts.

One thing I learnt?

I learnt that mummified bodies look really gross when unwrapped, Im definitely opting for cremation when I die.

Worth seeing?

If you want to see the history of a certain part of the world its great, but if not, all the countries just merge into one. Egypt and China as always stand out tho!
