pay off all my bills, finally be debt free and have money

I have all of our debts/expenses written down and how much we owe to each. It’s a lot, but if we chip away a little bit at a time, we can get it done :)

So I’ve been putting a little money from each paycheck in my savings account, I found it on a site called the paycheck challenge, anyway, I’m actually doing it. I had a little set back though because times get hard you know how that is. Well I’m getting back on track again and I even talked to Joe about taking what he has in his savings and putting it all together in a new account to earn more interest! :) I need to get it set up though :)

And of course from each check we’ve been setting a little aside to pay each debt off, but I swear it seems like every time I turn around, Joe has more and more debt I keep finding out about…

and for those who are truly all about saving money, I have found an AMAZING site that helps teach you how to do it. It’s where I’ve been getting my ideas from lately and so far it has been working for me! There’s lots of topics about getting out of debt and that’s one reason why we’ve set aside so much from each check to put towards the debt. Seriously this site has helped so much and I just found it recently!

Man it never fails, every time we get something paid off, something else pops up….I swear debt will be the death of me…

We just paid off one of Joe’s debts, it was $1000. I owe my mom $510 for covering my dental work for me before I had insurance. We owe my brother $400 for helping us pay off the $1000 debt. So we’re getting closer to getting ahead, it just seems every time we’re doing alright or decent, something happens…it never fails

So I found out that we can join upromise and it will help us get rid of Joe’s student loans, and believe me it’s a huge help. I didn’t even know he had 10,000 dollars in student loans, and that’s after he paid some off…ugh it’s going to take forever…

So the more we pay off, the more debt keeps showing up of Joe’s…and we need to get this paid off :( ugh we’ll never be ok…

So with my tax return this year, I paid our rent, paid the electric bill, paid off my credit card!!!!!! yay!!!!! I still have one more card to pay off and then I am done! I paid everything else off so woohoo!! Now we need to work on Joe’s student loans, and then we are completely out of debt. One of my co-workers said I shouldn’t even bother helping him since we’re not married, but one we’re not married yet, but he’s just waiting until he can afford to buy me a ring, and two, we live together, his money is my money, my money is his…so yeah it’s my debt too so I am willing to help the man I love get out of debt too…so yeah. We’ll be done with this goal this time next year for sure!!

My mom and I have been talking about starting over and doing my half.com business thing I was doing a few years ago. We went back and looked at how much money I had made, and I was making almost $700 a month! I was selling everything, books, cds, dvds, vhs tapes, games, game consoles, I was doing really well. So if we can start this over again, and 2 of us work on it, we can make lots of extra money to help us get out of debt, keep the bills paid on time, have money in our savings, and finish our home improvement tasks we’ve been trying to work on…especially these stupid bathrooms! So we’re going to take a look this weekend and see what we can do to get us back into this! Maybe Bobby will help us and we can get even more money…The more people buying and selling the more opportunities we have to sell things and to make money…:) yay!

so I might have a positive note to my tax issue. I forgot that I did go to college at the beginning of 09, but it was like a 5 week course or whatever, either way I paid $646.10 in tuition and I got that thing for my taxes today from the college…with me writing that off on my taxes plus a few other tax write off things I forgot I had, I might not have to pay anything! please God don’t take this moment from me let me have this :( please? All I know is if that’s the case, where I pretty much break even, hell I’ll take that, that’s better than having to pay $600

so that $600 I was looking forward to getting back this year, yeah not happening, apparently Target didn’t feel the need to take Federal out but took a lot more in Social Security and Medicare than they should, so I owe the government over $580 awesome, thanks Target for fucking me over once again…
