Put a message in a bottle and throw it out to sea

I am going to the beach this summer but I won’t be on any boats or anything so I don’t know when I would throw it out to sea. I am just going to the gulf of mexico so I would not want to just throw it a few feet into the ocean…. maybe I’ll throw it in a river. I am not an environmentalist but I do hate to litter like this.

This would be good to do. It always helps me to write stuff out but then what do I do with it. Throwing it away seems mean or like it is useless and I don’t want to keep it so this is a good way to get rid of it.
