I haven’t been eating breakfast lately and I’ve been feeling very dehydrated, hungry, and tired until I finally get to eat and drink something (which sometimes isn’t until the afternoon). I need to make time to start eating breakfast again…that means I’ll have to plan it ahead of time, so it’ll be something healthy too…

Back on my list because I feel like I’m just eating junk lately. I’ve been re-adding things to my list (that were previously checked off) because it’s easier to stay motivated to do something when I see it on my page…

I’ve been having some really weird cravings lately…not very healthy ones. I’ve been wanting to eat some potato chips during the last couple of days. I didn’t give in and buy some at the store though…Good thing I waited because I don’t really want them anymore. I also drank a lot of green tea during the last couple of weeks, but I still prefer water…so I’m not going to buy green tea for a while…

I took about a one week break from exercise and eating healthy when I went out of town, but I ended up losing 5 pounds anyway even though I ate out every day…why is that? It was probably all of the hiking, walking, and a bunch of other activities I did…Even though I lost weight that way, I want to get back to healthier eating because eating “junk” never makes me feel good afterwards…

After about 3 weeks, I finally overcame my weight loss plateau by increasing the distance I ran and increasing the number of pounds of my free weights as well. Now I need to work on eating healthier again by planning my meals ahead of time to avoid snacking and eating other “junk” food, so my weight won’t keep fluctuating.

During the passed 2 weeks, I’ve been very strict with my “diet” by mostly eating fruits and vegetables. I’ve also been reading all of the nutrition facts of food in stores and in the kitchen (I’m trying to avoid hfcs as much as possible). With information that I received from RuthG, I’ve started eating Post Shredded Wheat and Post Grape Nuts cereal because there’s hfcs in Special K. The Post cereals that I’m eating now also has a similar “challenge” as Special K (one of those lose 10 pounds 3 step plan things, but it may take longer than 2 weeks). Just thought that might interest some of you who are doing that Special K challenge, but do not want to consume hfcs anymore.

Anyways, the events that transpired today really made me just want to eat junk/comfort food when I got home. I even was tempted to eat meat, but I opted not to because of my “give up meat for June” goal. Instead, I went on my usual 5+ mile walk and that helped me take my mind off of things and now I’m thinking about what healthy meal I’d like to eat for dinner. It’s been very hard to adjust to this new way of eating…there are days when I feel like I’m going to fail on it, but I just try to keep thinking positively and hopefully I’ll keep on eating healthy.

Went grocery shopping a couple of days ago and got a bunch of fruits, so I’m more tempted to eat something healthier. I’ve slowly been adding different fruits into my meals and just having some for a snack. I’ve also recently started drinking fortified soy milk and I’m planning to drink that type of milk from now on (I used to just drink low fat milk). I feel so much happier after eating something like grapes or a banana, rather than eating chips…

I also went to the library several days ago and browsed their health section. I got a book about nutrition and another one about vegetables. I’m learning more about healthy foods and hopefully the new information I gain will help me continue to eat healthier.

I’m thinking about not eating meat for one month…

I always feel better and happier after eating healthy foods, but I don’t do it as often as I would like. I’m going to try and develop a more appropriate “diet” for myself starting tomorrow (I keep putting it off…hopefully I’ll stick to it this time around). The next time I go grocery shopping, I’m going to buy more fruits and vegetables. I want to avoid processed foods that contain sugar and high fructose corn syrup! What are some of your favorite fruits and vegetables?

I want to stop eating fast food and processed food. I already stopped drinking soda several months ago and I don’t miss it. Maybe if I use the same strategy to avoid junk food, I’ll be able to eliminate it from my “diet” too. I’m going to hopefully start making healthier choices tomorrow.

I like breakfast!!! I’ve been eating breakfast daily since my last entry on this thing. I’m still getting used to it (almost went straight to the bathroom to get ready for work this morning, but then I remembered that I wanted to eat breakfast first)...I want to continue eating breakfast every day!
