If you bring your own bag to Target, they take five cents off your purchase. I’m not sure if they take off five cents for each bag you bring. I’ve only tried it bringing one bag. I like using a reusable bag when I grocery shop too. It’s convenient if I’m not buying a lot of things or something heavy because I can just stick whatever I’m buying into the bag instead of grabbing a basket or cart. I now make sure to keep a reusable bag in my car at all times.

plastic bags

I’m getting better at telling cashiers that I don’t need a bag and I’m also starting to notice that more cashiers are even asking me if I need my stuff bagged. If I’m only buying a few items, I’ll also just stick them in my purse or backpack (if I have one at that time).

I have the bags…I just need to start using them. I’m planning on doing some shopping tomorrow, so I’ll bring my reusable bags with me then. I’ll also leave some bags in the trunk of my car, so I’ll have some available with me whenever I unexpectedly need them.
