organize a 43Things meetup in Atlanta

Well there were only 5 of us that showed up at Joe’s today, but we had a good time. I know the weather was crappy today. We talked about having the next get together at a bar rather than a coffee shop. This place in Decatur was suggested (I forget the name, but they have an incredible beer selection)...I was also thinking the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club in Little Five Points could be a good spot.

If you’re planning on attending our 43things meetup this Sunday, 1/22 at Joe’s Coffee in East Atlanta at 2pm, please reply to this post…just want to make sure we have enough chairs for everyone. Sitting on the floor is no fun.

I’ve attached a map for your convenience. By the way, we’re now meeting the FOURTH SUNDAY of every month. If you have a location suggestion, please post it here. I think it’s nice to meet at different places so that everyone has a chance to participate.

So far, it looks like there are eight of us interested in a monthly get together. I’m sure many of you have been on vacation and haven’t been able to reply to the initial post. Let’s plan on meeting every 4th Sunday, starting with Sunday, January 22 at 2pm.

As for location ideas, how about Joe’s coffee in East Atlanta? Their seating arrangement might be a little more conducive to a group meetup than Java Monkey. Whatdaya all think?

What do you all think about meeting up on a monthly basis…as in, every 4th Sunday, for example? I think it would be nice to have a regular get together if there’s interest. Let me know what ya’ll think.

I just called Java Monkey (9:30 am Sunday) and asked them to reserve several tables for our group for our 2pm get together today. When you get to Java Monkey, ask them where 43things is sitting, and they’ll direct you to our tables. See you there!
