3 Weeks away from the ER and had my gallbladder removed instead

I was VERY opposed to gallbladder removal surgery. And while I did not complete the gallbladder/liver flush this most recent time, I’ve done it in the past. In 1996, I passed approx 25-30 stones (or what I believe to be stones). Fast forward to 2010. I was having incredibly painful gallbladder attacks, one of which landed me in the ER it hurt so badly. The doctors said I would eventually be in trouble if I didn’t have my gallbladder removed. And in hindsight, they were right. For the remainder of 2010 I tried every holistic remedy I could – juicing, acupuncture, supplements, chinese herbs, etc. I did not do a flush this time around. Why not? Because it takes approx. 12 flushes to remove the stones…and they come back. The acupuncture and chinese herbs helped for awhile. And then around December 2010 the herbs no longer worked. I was having gallbladder pain 24/7, and nothing I did relieved the pain. Not chinese herbs, not eating pears (which helped ease the pain previously). It was at this point that I decided to have my GB removed, by an excellent surgeon in Miami. And I’m glad I did. My GB was terribly infected, and my surgeon told me that I would have been 3 weeks away from emergency surgery due to my condition.

For anyone weighing the benefits of the holistic approach vs surgery. I would say don’t be stupid. There are very real risks for not having your GB removed. Do your research, and find yourself a board certified surgeon who has performed thousands of GB removal surgeries.

Be careful.

There is a real danger of having gallstones stuck in your common bile duct (typically 5-6mm) when doing the gallbladder flush. You DO NOT want to have a stone stuck in your bile duct. So, make sure you take steps to decrease the size of the stones as much as possible prior to performing the actual flush. There are products which can help you with this (Standard Process Phosfood, Betafood, Disodium Phosphate, Choline, Spanish Black Radish).

You can also start a juicing regimen, specifically for your gallbladder. Excellent foods for the gallbladder include beets, radish and dandelion root. Add carrots, apple, tomato, turnip greens…all good for the gallbladder. Olive Oil and Flaxseed Oil are both excellent for the gallbladder as well.

If you’re in pain, grind flax seeds, boil for 5 minutes, then steep for 10 minutes. Drain, and drink the flaxseed tea.
