I was VERY opposed to gallbladder removal surgery. And while I did not complete the gallbladder/liver flush this most recent time, I’ve done it in the past. In 1996, I passed approx 25-30 stones (or what I believe to be stones). Fast forward to 2010. I was having incredibly painful gallbladder attacks, one of which landed me in the ER it hurt so badly. The doctors said I would eventually be in trouble if I didn’t have my gallbladder removed. And in hindsight, they were right. For the remainder of 2010 I tried every holistic remedy I could – juicing, acupuncture, supplements, chinese herbs, etc. I did not do a flush this time around. Why not? Because it takes approx. 12 flushes to remove the stones…and they come back. The acupuncture and chinese herbs helped for awhile. And then around December 2010 the herbs no longer worked. I was having gallbladder pain 24/7, and nothing I did relieved the pain. Not chinese herbs, not eating pears (which helped ease the pain previously). It was at this point that I decided to have my GB removed, by an excellent surgeon in Miami. And I’m glad I did. My GB was terribly infected, and my surgeon told me that I would have been 3 weeks away from emergency surgery due to my condition.
For anyone weighing the benefits of the holistic approach vs surgery. I would say don’t be stupid. There are very real risks for not having your GB removed. Do your research, and find yourself a board certified surgeon who has performed thousands of GB removal surgeries.
