This is one of those “once I’m out of school” goals. Attending part time isn’t an option with my program, and the length of my commute makes active transportation impractical. But, soon I will graduate! Plans for then:

1. Volunteer for things I care about. I’ve already picked up five shifts of bike count surveys during the week after exams. Once my head is clear, there are two more organizations I may get in touch with re. ongoing commitment.

2. Hold out sending applications until I hear back from the “dream job” options. Take some time to chill. Maybe go on a trip.

3. Once employed, choose an apartment or condo nearby, so that I can commute on foot or by bike. Try for someplace quiet, near groceries and nature.

4. Make sure that new home has a dishwasher. When I fall behind on dishes, fall behind on tidying and am less likely to cook. And I’m always behind on dishes. Besides, because they are insulated and recycle water, dishwashers are more efficient than handwashing. http://www.treehugger.com/files/2005/08/dishwasher_vs_h.php
