I’m going to see the Carolinas when my wife and I visit her brother upon his return from Iraq. Fort Bragg is our destination I think.
With those 2 down, I’ll have Vermont, Maine, Oregon, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Hawaii to go (7). Hawaii’s the treat I’m saving for last!
I’m all about the US of A thing since 13 trips to Europe proved it was a drag. There’d be so much love if they cared enough to learn the same language as each other!
I am looking forward to one international detour soon – the Dominican Republic next May for my friend’s wedding.
Just returned from a 9 day, 3600 mile road trip. I meant to visit all the states between Chicago and Moab, Utah, but I ended up taking the Southwest route home. I unexpectedly covered Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. 11 states to go!
Driving west from Chicago to Moab for some 4 wheeling next Saturday. This ten day trip will cover Nebraska and Colorado for me, then FIFTEEN LEFT TO GO!!! WOOHOO!
I’ve been making serious progress over the past 9 or so months since I moved to Chicago. It’s a great starting place for checking out the country! When I lived in New York City, I had no concern for the rest of the US, and I used it as a launching pad for international trips. It’s crazy how priorities change, and how I ever thought that a grimey old city in Europe could rival the natural beauty of the American west. Go Wyoming!
