I’ve not really been focussing on this goal like I should be. I’ve been spending a lot of time doing handstand push-ups and one handed push-ups. Anyway this morning I decided to see how many standard push-ups I could do in one go. I was supprised to find it was 75. The funny thing is when I was actively training for this goal (by doing lots of sets of standard push-ups) my max was 62.

At my work we’ve recently put a forfeit system into place. The idea is if you do something daft of that gets on every bodies nerves( or even eat a biscuit) you have to do 10 push ups (I always do st least 25 per set). We intend to have a competition at Christmas to see if any of us is capable of 100. I know what I’m like if it’s a contest I’ll have to win.
Recently I’ve tried mixing it up a bit. Rather than doing just straight push ups I’ve been using 5 different hand positions which puts focus in different places. I’ve also added one arm push ups and handstand push ups although not many since they’re bloody hard.
Just had my first go at this. Man this is tough. I did 50 in a row then had to break for 1 minute and do another 10 then another break and so on up to 100.
A lot more work required, still I didn’t think I’d be able to do 50 right off the back.
