Price of a dream

I’ve been playing clarinet for something like 12 years. Recently I tried to learn the guitar. If I had it to do over, I think I would play the cello.
So today, just for kicks, I looked up how much one would cost. I’m a poor student right now, so it’s out of the question. But when I graduate and find a job, the cello + bow + case for a beginner would cost around $600. Add some other books and accessories for about $50. I suppose eventually I’d want to take lessons.
Have to pay down the credit cards first.
