I first tried raw oysters and oysters for that matter, during my trip in Korea (Nov ‘07 – Jan ‘08) at a fancy restaurant with relatives. I found it appetising as I do enjoy most seafood delicacies. Unfortunately, an allergic reaction to the oysters ensued in the following hours; my throat was swollen, I was breathless and coughing nonstop.
Needless to say, I haven’t touched oysters since. I think I’ll play it safe and stick to fish, squid, clams and prawns.
