5. Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult 3 months ago

Completed reading on 28.09.09.

8.3/10 – Heart-rending, engrossing novel. There were an abundance of passages that are worthy of quoting. Commendable characterisation, and I appreciated being taken through the shades of grey. On the flip side, the story came with many platitudes and a certain aspect of the ending was disappointing.

4. Republic to Reich: A History of Germany 1918-1945 by K. J. Mason 4 months ago

7.5/10 – Very informative and comprehensive but poor layout and a little all over the place at times.

A little confession. 7 months ago

Alas, the years in which I’d devour up to a hundred books or more are long gone. Now, I find that successfully reading twenty new books in a year is quite an achievement, for me.

It’s already mid-May; we’re rapidly approaching the second-half of 2009 and I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve only managed to read two books so far.
