Walk along the beaches of Muuido Island, South Korea whilst listening to Ave Maria by Rebecca Luker

During my two month stay in Korea from November to mid-January, the opportunity to travel to the island arose many times but I did not take it for two reasons.

1. Distance
2. Weather conditions

For my next trip to South Korea, I plan to go in late September when it is mid-Autumn over there. The weather will be just perfect.

Watching the entire Stairway to Heaven korean drama series inspired me and moved me. I loved the drama and I know now that it is essential I visit Muuido Island. The setting is gloomy and it radiates loneliness and despondency, I guess that’s what attracts me to it.

Ave Maria is one of the songs from the Stairway to Heaven OST and I’m convinced listening to it – whilst wandering around the island – will evoke fond memories of Song-Ju and Jung-suh’s reunion and Song-Ju playing the beautiful white grand piano on the beach in the drama.
