Yay, three months of munchy green goodness. It has become habit to devour a salad before every lunch and dinner at my dining hall.
And the good salad too… no dressing, lots of veggies!
I will continue to do this, but I consider it completed!

I’m still eating at least one salad a day, just depending on how often I go to the dining hall. I think I will mark this goal complete after 3 months of salad eating… that should be enough time for my habit to form.
I’ve never eaten so much salad before. I am eating one or two salads a day. I am eating them right too: lots of veggies and just a little olive oil instead of dressing.
I made the salads smaller so I can still manage to throw down some actual food. Although, I think my body is also beginning to realize not to tell me I’m full after a salad, because then it’s not happy in two hours.
I’m currently trying to find a balance. Salads do fill me up, but I’m hungry very soon afterwards. Last night for dinner, I ate a smaller salad, so I could fit in some protein and carbs and thus, wouldn’t feel too hungry later.
I’ll figure it out.
So, today, for lunch, I went to the salad bar. And no surprises, I enjoyed my salad and afterwards I was full! I had a small rice krispy treat, and thus ended my extremely healthy lunch.
This goal should be easy with this strategy, as I eat in my dining hall all the time, and if I don’t eat my salad, I don’t get anything else, so its pretty nice motivation. I don’t have to forcibly remember to do much.
I told my roomie about my strategy for moral support.
Oh, and yes, salad dressing is fattening, but who says you need it? Load up on juicy sweet tomatoes, green bell peppers, add a touch of olive oil to meld it all together and that’s so much better than thousands of islands, or even maybe millions.
As soon as I go into my campus’ dining hall, I’m heading straight to the salad bar. As soon as I eat my salad, I can have whatever else I want to eat. That way I can be sure to eat my salad, and know I’ll eat less of all that other crap they serve.
