New friends

Kristi and Ellery.

There is even a chance that Ellery and I might be roommates.

I'm meeting

more friends.

Once I feel like I really belong with Kestrel’s group of friends, I can take this off my list.

It has been such a relief to start being invited over to parties, etc.

I’d like to do a summer BBQ or picnic for everyone at my place.

New friend!

After work I hung out with my friend Megan and her boyfriend Robinson today. (We spent too much money on sushi and talked about our crazy pets.) I hadn’t ever met Robinson before, so he is my new friend of the day! Congratulations, Robinson. :)

I got to hang out with my friend Chris and his friend Patrick this weekend. Maybe Patrick will become a good friend of mine too. We certainly all got along.

One problem is that we all live in different parts of the city (however, I’m moving, and one of the districts on my list is where Patrick lives, so maybe that won’t be a problem in the future).

What is with Seattle? I feel socially lost here. Another problem is that everyone I’ve met seems to think that spending time together entails spending large amounts of money at restaurants, shows, etc. Does everyone here live on credit??

Stagnant social growth hasn’t happened to me in the past. I’m thinking of moving for lack of a decent social situation.

On the other hand, maybe living in Seattle requires a conscious search for friendship. I can’t rule this place out entirely unless I try that option.
