Ugh.

I’ve been concentrating on this for the last 7 months and not one bit has come off! I’ve been working out about 4 times a week (save a couple of weeks when I got sick), and am not perfect about what I eat, but not bad, either. I think it must be stress that’s keeping me from losing anything, but it’s so frustrating! Maybe I should try more stress-relieving activities like Yoga or some sort of meditation added into my routine? It’s so easy for me to give up because I’ve been working so hard and seeing absolutely nothing happen, but I really don’t want to give up….

more muscle?

This goal takes forever. I’ve been working at it for the past 5 months and I don’t think anything has come off the scale. Except…. I don’t feel horribly about it because I feel so good otherwise. I’m not always the best about what I eat, but I’ve been working out 4x a week, I feel stronger and slimmer, my clothes fit a little better, and I have more energy. Maybe I’m getting more muscle so it doesn’t show on the scale? I still would like to see some pudge come off, so I’m not quite giving up on this goal, but it sure isn’t as high on my list anymore.

Still slow

Still nothing has come off—in fact, I think I’ve put on a couple of pounds. But I’ve been to the gym almost every day for the last 3 weeks and I’m feeling great. Baby steps.

Slow going

This has been a tough goal. I actually went up a couple of pounds, although for the last several weeks I’ve been working out 5x/week and doing a decent job with what I eat (not always perfect, but who is?).

Because I feel good with myself about working out more consistently, I don’t feel horrible about not making any progress on this goal. However I do hope I start to see something soon. :)

Nothing too drastic yet

Still holding steady around the same weight, but still have days when I feel sluggish and unhealthy. I do know what things to do as far as what to eat and how to exercise, I just don’t do them consistently. So I decided to start a journal logging all my workouts and everything I eat every day. I’m hoping it will help not only to catch any bad habits I might have, but also to keep me accountable to eating well and exercising regularly. I hope it works!

So far, so good

In the last couple of weeks, the one thing I’ve been doing more of is thinking carefully about what I eat. I don’t eat or snack when I’m not hungry, and I cut the portions of my meals about it half. I’ve found that I’m not really any more hungry—I was just eating too much before. So far I’m down about 3 pounds, and have about 15 more to go.

As far as exercising goes, I’m very limited in that I have very little time. But I try to get it in whenever I am able, and try to have fun. I think the having fun is the most important part of it.

So far, so good. I just have to keep it up.

Still 15 to go

Haven’t lost anything yet, but I’m very much enjoying my evening run/walk and all the lovely organic food I’ve been eating. Coffee and yogurt/granola for breakfast, sandwich and apple for lunch, nuts or a smoothie for an afternoon snack, and a big salad and meat or fish for dinner. I don’t see anything changing at the scale yet, but I feel healthier already, which is more important to me, anyway.

T-15

Just 15 pounds. I can do this. All I really want is to get back to the weight I was 2 years ago, if for no other reason than all my pants fitting again.

I need more motivation. My gym buddies decided to start going to the gym when I’m not available (yeah, thanks guys). And I’m tired of people telling me I don’t need to work out, that I look fine. I’m not necessarily doing it to look better. I want to be healthier.
