It’s all about priorities. Dropping what I am doing to show the importance of making an appointment on time. My friends are noticing. My professors are noticing. My family is noticing. AND I gotta say…seeing their happy faces that I’m not wasting their time is well worth the endeavor to show that I care.

I DID IT! I set a goal for myself that seemed impossible, but knowing the goal was there AND knowing that if I screwed up one day I would have to start all over really motivated me! I am so proud of myself. The best part is I am less stressed out than I have ever been. I’m no longer rushing and panicking and I’m more prepared for any meeting, rehearsal, class, or event. It’s nice to walk in cool, calm, and with all my hair in place!
I am almost through with this goal. There have been some close calls. In fact, one day I was running a few minutes late…but I still walked in before the professor! I am counting that one! I only have 2 more days to go, but a very early morning rehearsal and an evening rehearsal tomorrow (and it’s time to spring back for DST)...fingers crossed!
I was on time yesterday for both morning classes and an evening flight to Houston. Today, I was on time for a wedding rehearsal! In fact, my husband and I were the ONLY ones on time for the rehearsal! It’s great to not be rushed to everything. I used to think it was my husband that made us late for everything…now I just think he wasn’t in a hurry to be ready early when I wouldn’t be ready to to leave. Now we argue less about being late! It’s awesome! Only 10 more days to go!
I was three minutes early for my one class today! Only 12 more days to go and I will have completed this goal!
On Day 7 I had two rehearsals (am & pm). I was on time for both (early for the pm). Today (Day 8), my first day back from spring break, I was on time for Latin class, even though it was icky weather out and I had only had 4 hours sleep… kudos for me!
I was on time yesterday evening for a pre-performance rehearsal in a new town. I got a little lost and the only thing I could think of was “I’m going to mess up my on-time streak!” But, I walked in and was in place without a moment to spare! Whew! I only have 15 more days to go, but this next week will be hardest because spring break is over and class starts back up.
Last night, I made it to another rehearsal with two minutes to spare! I am so proud of myself! 16 more days of being on time to go to complete my goal…
I am amazed at how well I am doing with this goal! I don’t know if I’ve ever been on time four consecutive days in my life! I had rehearsal at 6pm and made it 10 minutes early! I’m almost starting to believe that something’s wrong with me—some punctual disease or something. :0)
A friend made last minute (2-hours notice) plans with me to have coffee. I was in the middle of cleaning house, but was able to get things wrapped up, take a shower, and get dressed all in time for one of my most punctual friends to knock on the door! The best part was coming home to a freshly cleaned house after having such a good chat with a girlfriend over coffee at the local hangout.
