Fly First Class

I’m flying on Qatar Airlines from SEL to LON. The ticket cost ~$1500. Seems privileged of me, and many have made the good point that I could have spent the saved money had I gone economy (which would have been on Aeroflot for ~$505—and I haven’t heard good things about them) on better things but keep in mind I’ve saved money for this specifically. I’ve always wanted to try this at least once in my lifetime, it’s an exceptionally good airline unlike DELTA, it’s a 16 hour flight and I want the trip to be comfortable and enjoyable, there’s better, healthier food served in first class, and I want to arrive with excitement for the future since the first few days in a new country sets a precedent for the rest of my experience in London. Plus, during the layover in Doha, I get to relax in a lounge, access to gourmet food, get driven to the plane in some fancy car, and there’s access to a spa. Can’t wait!

But only on flights that take forever and a day. I am tired of cramped seating, crappy plane food, and passive aggressive flight attendants.
