The M-Audio Fast track for my mac. I should be able to plug my gat straight in and then use an XLR microphone to track some lyrics.
I have to find a drummer and bassist to work with though. :/

A want a midi (or USB) keyboard that I can use to record piano loops.
I listen to guitar-heavy punk music myself – but big thumping rnb tracks with a piano loop over the top might be simpler to compose in the living room.
