become a teacher

Classes are starting June 30, for 6 weeks or so! I can’t wait and I’m excited to finally be that much closer to finishing this goal.

6-7 weeks of classes, 7 weeks of placement and then I AM DONE!

Thank God!

An update on my placement. I finished most of my placement and because of some circumstances I don’t really feel like getting into, I will be doing another 2 weeks sometime in the spring! I’m trying to get excited about that, maybe later I will feel more positive about it.

However, after a good chat with my friend today, she’s encouraged me to not quit, to persevere, and keep on towards my goal! Thanks Steph, you’re a great friend :)

I am in my second week of placement out of six that I need to do this year. This month is going to fly by so quickly, it’s going to be scary! But, I’m excited and happy about it…. fingers crossed the rest of it goes well

The first part of my course is done… the in-class portion. Still need to do my co-op and then I go back next summer for the second part of my in-class portion… and then ANOTHER co-op and then DONE :)

I begin my classes in less than 2 weeks now! I don’t even have time to get excited about it because I am still finishing up my BA but, holy smokes!!!! I can’t believe it!

I still don’t know yet how I am going to pay for this but – God will find and open a way for me! Everything else is just too good in fitting the pieces of the puzzle, for this to not work out….

YAY!

I have been accepted into a teacher’s college program! After a very scary setback (too many applicants for the 24 positions!), I was accepted and NOW I can begin to relax though I know the scary part is just ahead. In about six short weeks (just after I finish my BA!) I will be starting my teacher’s college…

God, thank you for getting me into this! YIPPIE!! I never realised I could actually do this… I feel so happy I can finally begin this next chapter in my life!

I sent my application and fee and am now just waiting to find out if I am accepted for this course which would begin in July, 2007! Yippie! Fingers crossed! I’ll let you know if I get in…

I will (hopefully) be starting my teacher’s college July! I should be a full teacher by end of summer, 2008!

I am supposed to begin my teacher’s college in July 2007. I do not need to have my BA complete before then but – ideally, I’d like to have my BA done during the same year that I work on the teacher’s college. The course is spread over two summers with my placements being “back home”, so I can spend time with M. and do what I need to do…

I’ve come so far in such little time in wanting to get to my goal. I want to hurry and start teaching so that I can begin my new career and hopefully it’ll be one that I enjoy!

I am currently working/volunteering in one of the local schools and I love it! I’m not nervous any more though I haven’t done any teaching yet directly. We’ll see how it goes! I think this is what I need to be doing at the moment, in terms of a job and a career!
