Do something musically that pushes my limits!

I’ve begun teaching and have offered to teach students music lessons at the end of the day on my own free time. Oi vay, what was I thinking?? mwhahahaha… it will start in two weeks!

I need to pick up some of my instruments back home first!

And, I will be writing a song which I will post online when I do it. it’s not going to be amazing but it will be an anji-original!

When I originally added this, I had writing a piece of music in mind… but – I think for now, I will just say learning guitar is something that is pushing my limits!

With my wrist, this makes it a challenge. I can only play a few minutes at a time and it’s not very good… but, I’m trying…

I’m learning mostly Paul Simon songs. Right now I can play “Bookends” where I think I play at about 90%. I’m also learning “Feeling Groovy” which is at about 40%. It’s hard for me and I literally take it one bar at a time for my new songs… but – I hope to become a pretty decent finger-picker’ someday! I have a good mentor to mimick! (Paul Simon, one of the - IF NOT THE BEST - guitary player around…. :)

I have just recently after a long time, begun to play music again. It hurts me sometimes physically but – I am tired of putting my life on “hold” while my arm gets no better.

I’ve decided to “push” the limits on that “something musically” and have decided that one of my “somethings” will be COMPOSING music!

I join a group of mostly older folk who play the sax (our quartet now consists of 9 of us!) ... I would like to spend sometime in the near future composing a song that we can play that is a mixture of something jazzy and classical… integrate them together since we sound good doing both :)
