Re TBotRK: There is only one female speaking part in the whole 3 hours! It was actually better than I anticipated – that goes for all of them, I guess.

I finally watched this – it’s SO long! I’m fairly certain I’ve seen it before because I remember many parts, but it’s possible I didn’t watch the entire thing. Spoiler: Jesus dies.

I wish 43T allowed one to write one entry and assign it to three different goals, but since I can’t, I’ll just write about it here. For the record, it also fits under making full use of Netflix and watching the AFI Top 100.
J was not in the mood for this movie (he doesn’t see the point in watching anything made before Bonnie and Clyde), but we soldiered through all two hours and ten minutes.
It was pretty good, actually, though we laughed a bit at some of the camera work and dialogue. The scenes go on for so long! The footage of fighting wasn’t exactly Saving Private Ryan, but it wasn’t bad. Message: war sucks.
Next up: An American in Paris. J is so excited!
With a few exceptions and subject to change, the order we’re following is alphabetical starting with the movies that are on both lists – Oscar best picture winners and AFI Top 100.
