Donate to the local food pantry

We gathered up three bags of food and went by the pantry while we were out running errands. They weren’t all excited like last year, but we caught them on their lunch hour when they forgot to turn over the “open” sign.

We took three bags of food and diapers to the local pantry last year, and the women working there were so thrilled with us. When they found out we were doing it from ourselves and not part of a church, they were even more excited. They actually took a picture of us and sent a hand-written thank you note.

We’ve got a big bag on the dining room table with several things we’ve picked up in our shopping trips the past two weeks. Things feel tight for us financially this year, but we know we have a place to live and food to eat so it’s important to remember that there are people in town who will be hungry without help. We should be able to take this to the center within the next two weeks, and then I’ll have that wonderful feeling again.
