Figure out what I want

It’s the beginning of a New Year and nothing about my life seems to have changed since this time last year. I want that to change this year.
By the end of 2007 I want to be able to look back and know that I’ve achieved something… learned something new, found a new job, started a masters course. Whatever. I want to take control and actually do something instead of just sitting around waiting for something to happen.
Maybe this way I’ll get a little closer to figuring out what I actual want from life.

what I want to do with the rest of my life, or at least the next part of it.
Actually, I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while, and so far all I’ve found out is that I don’t want to be a teacher. I suppose it’s a step in the right direction. Now I just have to find out what it is I do want to do. But every job I can think of sounds either boring or difficult or I just don’t have the right qualifications to do it. My current contract ends in May (I’m working as a Langauge Assistant in Germany, but it’s more of an internship type thing than a job) and I need to think of something to do after that, otherwise I’ll have to go back to England and move back in with my dad. I really, really don’t want to do that!!
