I’ve been in Paris for 3 months now and I’m still learning French. I’m trying my best; but there are also a lot of people who purposely ( i believe) speak fast so that the “foreigner” can’t understand. Very petty. I just experienced this yesterday.

I have been studying French now consistently for the past 2 years. I can now have simple conversation about myself and understand pretty well. I still have a ways to go before I become fluent; but I’m achieving my goal.
I took about 3 months of french at Alliance Francaise in Los Angeles; but since I moved to Atlanta I’ve been a slacker. I still have the materials from Alliance and a French Calliou tape, which I love watching. So now my goal is to spend at least 15 minutes studying French a day for a month, then increase the study time from there.
