Despite having almost no money, I think we managed to give the kids a pretty good vacation! Trips to Lake Superior and Bay Beach, plus goofy touristy things, combined with loose time in the “great outdoors” were (I think) enjoyed by all.

Zoo trip 2 years ago

OK, I took the kids to the zoo today despite it being un-freaking-believably-hot. We only stayed about 90 minutes, but we got to pet the sting rays and sharks, and see the aquatic and reptile center (our fave)
