10/24/06

-A recent visit from family (sil and bil) although it was too short.
-A fun night the sign language class I’ve been taking.
-Getting a bunch of photos developed.

10/13/06

-Tastykake Kandy Kakes – yum!
-A visit from my mom
-TGIF

10/1/06

having a Jewish holiday off from work - it’s like a little bonus and I have no obligation to do anything.
-Ahren having her first communion on World Communion Sunday. Side note: I’m not really a fan of communion in general and don’t really consider it a sacrament – for me it is more about the community meal, sharing and breaking bread together. Our church has an open communion table and anyone who wishes to participate may – including children.
-taking a nap this afternoon. I had accidentally taken some PM pain meds at about 3pm and could barely keep my eyes open by 4pm, so I went into the bedroom and didn’t even remember laying down on the bed. Got to take a good long nap, but of course, now I’m sure that I will have a heck of a time falling asleep this evening – at least there is no school tomorrow.

9/24/06

-Going for a bike ride even tho’ the weather was yucky
-Packing up clothes and stuff for Goodwill and ACTUALLY dropping them off at the donation center
-Finding out that my friend Jen is expecting a baby :)

9/19/06

-rode my bike to work today – woo hoo!
-Sean and his friend Sam playing legos after school
-my new Adiago fruit medley tea that came today

9/17/06

-doing something nice for someone just because
-spending time outside while the weather is simply perfect
-my laundry is almost all caught up

9/11/06

-today’s the show with zefrank: 09-11-06
-I had a great day at school
-I have the best kids a mom could wish for

9/10/06

-Pete and Sean going to their first Boston Red Sox game today – woo hoo! and the last time I looked, the Sox are ahead!! Double woo hoo!
-Ahren and I getting to spend the day together and having a really good time letterboxing. (I wrote more about it in my blog)
-I feel just about ready to go back to work tomorrow.

9/5/06

-I had only one student who cried and cried when his auntie dropped him off.
-My son got a haircut that looks really cute – I just love him with a buzz cut (it’s a bit longer than that), but he thinks a buzz cut makes him look like a bully – which is not at all him!
-I think one of the neighbors will be able to get my kids on the bus on Friday mornings. I have a standing appointment with the school principal at work and have to leave 15 mintues before the bus comes – last year I paid for the before school program but it was a pain (had to drive them there and paid $9 for 20 minutes time).

9/4/06

~Dh getting the Adult Appreciation Award – a very big deal in our neighborhood association.
~School starting tomorrow – it will be nice having students join me in my classroom, instead of just my kids for the past several weeks.
~The neighbors headed back home (tho’ they will likely be back on the weekends, but at least 4 days neighbor-free!)
