I've been pretty good at this 9 months ago

since I bought that little stepper machine. And I’ll be getting lots of exercise now that warmer weather is here and I’ll be working out in my flower beds. I’ll give it a few weeks, then I may have to say this one is done. :)



Muscles! 9 months ago

I have noticed that I can now feel the muscles in my legs – it feels great! Thanks, little stepper-thing! :) Now I’m even more motivated! And 20 min. a day has been easy for me not to procrastinate about.

I’m loving all my ‘gadgets’! I now use the little portable stepper for 20 min. a day – simple, because it’s quiet, and I can even watch tv while I do it. And I’m loving the other little gadgets I use because they’re quick, easy, but effective (if being sore is an indication!). I’m even logging in my date book what I do every day. Now, to do this for six weeks in a row – that forms a habit. It also corresponds well to the goal date of my weight loss goal – and my goal to look good this summer in a bathing suit! :)



I have been! 10 months ago

I decided that I just needed to walk 20 minutes a day. No excuses. (My gadgets are not all here.) And I have! I think and procrastinate, but at some time during the day, it’s more important than whatever I’m doing, so I do it. I’ve started walking through our pine tress, and it is very peaceful. Have to watch for the armadillo holes, though!



Another gadget! 10 months ago

OK, I have a gadget now for my lower body, and one for my upper body, and I just ordered a little portable step machine. That should do it! I’ve made exercise fun, quick, easy, and something that I will do because it’s now more like play than work! :)



New game plan! 10 months ago

OK, I ordered some exercise gadget (I’m a sucker!), so when that comes in I’ll start doing that AND I want to walk 20 min. every other day. Surely I can do that! It’s a start!

OK, I moved some furniture and I was sore the next day. So, I realize that I need to exercise. I will exercise every day even if it is just one rep, or one sit up, or one anything. Hopefully, one will turn to two, will turn to three, will turn to…...



Just can't get into it 10 months ago

So, I’ve decided that I will do a little bit every day – just 30 seconds to five minutes or so. Maybe that little bit will turn into a little more. And I’ve got to find my motivation tapes. I think that will help. Wish I could find a good visual – I’ve got to make that a priority!

O.K., I know I’m just procrastinating starting this goal, but I think I’ll feel better about it in a few days. Really!



Slipping 10 months ago

I have remembered to exercise the last few days, but have just decided not to do it. I don’t know why, exactly. I know it’s what I need to do to get my body in the shape I want, inside and out.
Maybe I just need to make it a habit. Six weeks of anything makes a habit. So, if I start this week, I’ll have the habit by March 1. And by then the weather will start to be warmer and I’ll definitely want to be in shape before bathing suit season!
