Monday night I made mushroom stroganoff, pretty much by myself. I did ask for some help with the seasoning at the end, because I wasn’t really sure how to gauge it and was afraid I’d ruin all my work by adding too much salt or something. But, it turned out really well! I was pretty proud of myself.

Instead of buying something to bring to the barbecue, we’re baking cookies! Fresh chocolate chip cookies, yum!
Last night my husband taught me how to make one of my favorite dishes, mushroom stroganoff. It came out great, and I was pretty proud of myself. It wasn’t as hard as I had thought it would be!
Tonight I learned how to make shrimp po’boy sandwiches. Much easier than I’d thought!
Tonight my husband and I are going to cook shrimp udon together, so I can learn how to make it. It’s one of my favorite meals, so I really ought to be able to prepare it myself.
For Lent, I’m giving up restraunt food. To make it a little easier, I’ve promised my husband (the main food preparer of our little family) that I’ll help more in the kitchen. I want to learn anyway, and this is just a good opportunity to really take it seriously.
I think we’d better have a couple of frozen pizzas in the freezer just in case, though.
