basically, the program about trich said it’s not a neurological disorder but more of a psychological disorder, almost like how if you’re nervous you bite your lip or some may pick at their face :guilty, btw:. meds don’t really work either, so don’t bother trying to take them. we can control it and some obviously do. we just need to address our psychological setbacks and get to the root (no pun, again, sorry lol) of our problems. good luck!

watch this abc news video about trich! as i was pulling my hair, i saw this. haha. it was eerie.

i noticed that this group is sort-of like a research study in itself. if you look at what we all write and analyze it from another’s perspective, we all have one thing in common: we don’t know how to cope with stress (or boredom, which can sometimes cause stress) without pulling. let’s focus on learning what works for each of us as individuals. so i think a subgoal in this group shoudl be asking ourselves, “how do i/can i best cope with stress?” if you don’t know how to answer that question, go discover which relaxation techniques suit you best. there’s nothing like a good self-exploration journey! good luck all!
