Day 29 - January 17, 2007 2 years ago

43 in 30!
Tonight I completed my 43rd practice in 30 days, so I crossed it off my list. I thought about not practicing tonight to stretch it out to tomorrow so I could have exactly 43 in 30, but I couldn’t stop myself from practicing tonight. I decided not to change things now, so it was A.M. Yoga with Rodney Yee in the morning and P.M. Yoga with Patrica Walden in the evening.
So now that I’m completed I feel happy and sad at the same time. I’m very glad that I can Practice Yoga Regularly, with the wonderful, worldwide alumni of 30-in-30
Thank you to everyone in this group for making me healthier and happier. You’ve changed my life.
Tomorrow (which is the actual 30th day) I dedicate my morning practice to you all.

Day 28 - January 16, 2007 2 years ago

There was freezing rain predicted for this morning, which could result in school being cancelled, but I still got up before it was light and did my morning yoga practice. School was cancelled for the kids, but I had to shovel the driveway and go in to teach. But I was able to get home without traffic and practice again. So now it’s day 28 and I’m up to 41 practices. Tonight was the first evening practice in a few days and it felt very good.

Day 27 - January 15, 2007 2 years ago

I got up early and did my morning practice with A.M. Yoga and it was nice. The long drive home in a snow storm tired me out and I should have tried to squeeze a practice, but I shoveled and then had supper and watched tv. So now it’s too late for me to practice now if I want to practice tomorrow morning. I’m up to 39 practices in 27 days, so reaching 43 in 30 will be down to the wire, but a bit of suspense is a good thing.

Day 26 - January 14, 2007 2 years ago

I slept in and decided to only practice one time today and to take a long walk to get a bit more exercise outside. So I’m at thirty-eight practices in 26 days. One of the things that I did when I walked downtown is buy a book about Ashtanga Yoga for Beginners by Michaela Clarke, which I think that I’ll start to implement after I complete this goal. I wanted to use an Ashtanga Yoga DVD today, but I find that it’s quite challenging for me, so I went with the old standard PM Yoga with Patricia Walden.

Day 25 - January 13, 2007 2 years ago

A nice Saturday morning where I could sleep in and practice in the morning when it was light outside. It was cloudy and grey, but still nice to be able to see things a bit more. A.M. Yoga again and it seemed to breeze by. Then tonight it was P.M. Yoga which seemed to be just right for me. As I approach the 30th day I completed practices 36 and 37, so if I maintain this pace I should hit 43 before day 30.

Day 24 - January 12, 2007 2 years ago

I was able to have a solid night of sleep and I got up as soon as the alarm went off and did my A. M. Yoga before I did anything else. So I went in to the city to work relaxed and feeling good. A busy day,but good and then as soon as I arrived home I put some basmati rice in the steamer and rolled out the mat in the sun room and practiced P.M. Yoga as my son John watched 2001: A Space Odyssey in the living room. Then some curry and rice for supper. So today was 34 and 35 on my way to 43 in thirty.

Day 23 - January 11, 2007 2 years ago

A very lovely morning where it was still dark but a beautiful layer of snow on the ground with snow lightly falling as I practiced A.M. Yoga with the Rodney Yee DVD. That was 32 and tonight I had a nice relaxing session of P.M. Yoga with Patricia Walden which was good too.
The routine is routine now and I’m starting to be able to notice how I’m feeling and how that affects my practice. This weekend I think that I will change things a bit, but now I know that I can have a regular routine that is very good for me.

Day 22 - January 10, 2007 2 years ago

A very nice morning and I completed my thirtieth practice in the dark before the sun rose. It was nice. Then, just a few minutes ago I had my thirty-first practice on day 22. Now I’m shooting for 43 in 30.

Day 21 - January 9, 2007 2 years ago

A nice and average day with a good practice in the morning and one in the evening. Both while it was dark outside, which makes it not as nice, but I think that I’m back in the routine and the great thing is that I will have met the 30 target tomorrow, but I’m not thinking about that now as I’m not going to stop at this point and my secondary goal is to keep practicing every day and maybe hit the 43 in 30 mark, which will be kind of neat.
The score (for those following along) is twenty-nine practices in twenty one days.

Day 20 - January 8, 2007 2 years ago

27 in 20 days…approaching one of the key numbers for the goal. I also got to add this goal as the first one that I’m using with the nifty new challenge thingee that the wonderful robots added.
I didn’t get enough sleep last night and was very tired this morning, but taking a quick look here made me not go back to sleep and got me practicing. Then I rolled out the mat, popped in the DVD and got another practice in before I had supper. Now I’m tired, but centred and relaxed.

Chris Campbell has gotten 2 cheers on this goal.
