It was in November 2004 that I read about Twinkler on the Signal vs. Noise blog. Twinkler was the pre-launch version that started 43 days before the beginning of 2005. It was just the goals arranged around and I found the list and idea very compelling. I was so excited that the next day I went on and on about it to one of my classes and I think that some people understood it, but most people didn’t seem to understand why I was so excited.
Then as the site rolled out I fell in love even more. It was a nice, small and friendly community. Now there are a lot more people here, but it’s still nice and friendly and it is wonderful to see how it has grown.
The Robot Coop has done an amazing job with the site and I’m so glad that they decided to do this. It’s made me enjoy online communities a lot more and it has had a positive influence in letting me keep track of what I want to do, where I want to go, who I want to meet, and what consume.
