write short stories

Look at my Story the Peppermint Shack and see if it fits the guidelines of that contest. Deadline is Feb 29th. Make that a goal to get the story submitted. I WILL submit.

I signed up for a ten week on line short story class through Zoetrope. I’m very excited about this. So far it is incredibly organized and we have 13 writers from all over the country. We will each put out two stories and read and critique each others work. What I want to do is put my Dingo story out to the class. The story has always intrigued me but I haven’t been able to finish it.

I’ve had a tuff time since I am writing it in an unconventional way. First person, man and woman, back and forth just summary dialog and description. It has good movement but needs a ton of work. My next step is to put all my edits in and see where I go from there. My deadline to post the story is February 3rd. I’ve got a little time. I’ve got to block about 8 hours of writing time this week for this short story. One thing I have noticed since I am focusing my creative energy on the novel and now in this class that my energy level seems to be a lot higher.

Consider signing up for the Zoetrope short story on line writing seminar. Deceide before the end of this weekend. It does cost and what will I get out of it? Go to the website and look at it more thoroughly.
