as a food runner for City Harvest. which is not bad. nice walk outside (tho I worry about days when I’m on a shoot or on deadline).
My only qualm is that I have to carry this big bright green square bag and walk thru the plaza, then the building, then the elevator to pick up and return it. Its not a flattering accessory. I hope no one sees me carrying it.
Will probably not continue after my Feb. commitment. I need to find something that is more… I don’t know. Something else. Maybe a different job within City Harvest.

since brooklyn library never got back to me about the volunteer position, I signed up with my company’s volunteering group.
it starts next month, we’re doing City Harvest, a food bank in New York City.
I volunteered to be a food deliverer. Because NYC is so difficult to traverse by car, City Harvest needs people to pick up donations from restaurants and take them to the main food pantry in Harlem.
That means I’ll be zipping up and down the B/D lines with groceries once a day, but I think it will be good to help out. At least until I find something that combines my skills more.

after alot of consideration about what I’m passionate about and the time commitment I can make I’ve decided to volunteer at my local library branch. I love books and libraries. My favorite part is the archives. Anyway, I submitted a volunteer application form. So we’ll see what happens.

wanted to volunteer for christmas eve, but couldn’t find a non-religious organization to volunteer with in Lansing, MI. BUT helped a friend of a friend clean and pack apartment for an international move today (very sad, visa issue). I think this should count…
