bike across the country

My bike pedal broke off, so I’ve come to a standstill around mile 211. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

I’m around 140 miles in now – still in Virginia. I’ve been averaging between 20-25 miles per week. I think it’s about 400 miles through Virginia, so I’m about a quarter of the way through that state.

I’d just do it through a site I found where you log the miles you bike (or walk or run), and it shows you where you’d be on your journey if you were actually doing it. It’s a fun site that keeps me motivated to get my exercise in on my bike. I’m about 70 miles into my trip so far starting from Yorktown, Virginia. The trip ends in Oregon after going through Kansas and then north into Montana. Not sure of the mileage – will have to see if I can find that out.
