Start a venture

I get teased by a friend who started a very successful software startup that I should work for a small company instead of the big ones I usually have. I think he might be right. There is a middle ground, which is to start/join a small venture inside an existing big company. This might have all of the advantages of both, or all the disadvantages of both. I think it’s something I’d like to try.
