The Parlor, The Frisby House Punk Hostel, The Wail, 709 Railroad, The Model Home, there’s a ton of these places. They all vary a bit in what music they have and not all of them do art shows, but they’re all very DIY and incredibly awesome places to be. A lot of punks like to travel to places like that, but I want to be that place. The hardest part is getting a house. It’d have to be a stand alone house with a central room big enough for shows, in a place with agreeable neighbors. I’d like a place just outside the city. Then comes the task of finding people who are on the same page as me to move with, this might actually be harder than finding a house. I have two friends who’d partake but they can’t move out in the near future. Then comes the money. I’d like to own but I’d settle for renting. I could get fulltime at my job but I’d still only be able to afford like 240 a month speaking in safe terms (a weeks pay), possibly a bit more. I don’t really know how this is going to work, it’s going to be nerve wracking, but oh so worth it.
