I finished House Made of Dawn on the airplane, and now I am ready to go on to my next goal. Success!
And besides, it was worth doing cause if I didn’t I’d get the chewing out of a lifetime.

Finished with Ragtime. Can’t say I enjoyed it. I’m leaving for New York in a few days, so finishing House Made of Dawn in the airport and on the plane won’t be too hard.
Mini-update: Oh God, I started House Made of Dawn. I can’t stand it. It’s the ultimate chick novel. It starts with a near carbon copy of “The rain, it was so beautiful.”
Apparently I’m the only one who’s seen that “Everybody Loves Raymond” episode…
I’m halfway through Ragtime. Can’t say I enjoy it very much. The Crucible was powerful, and made a lot of sense. Ragtime is written well, but it is like the author said “Hey, let’s grab every character I can think of and sex ‘em up!”
I realize that most of psychology and science and most other stuff revolves around sex, but good lord, isn’t a seven year old girl exempt from being sexualized?
Note to self: Get notes from Sparknotes as well. Can’t hurt to impress the infamous Ms. Marten.
I just finished The Crucible, with notes and stickies. Maybe when I’m bored later I’ll type up the key to my notes. Two more books to go!
My summer reading books are:
The Crucible, Arthur Miller
Ragtime, E.L. Doctorow
House Made of Dawn, N. Scott Momaday
I’ll be reading them in that order. I don’t know exactly what my teacher wants, so I can’t hilight or anything like that. Maybe flag things that just stick out?
