Start my own business

I think this kind of ties in with “Escape a live of corporate servitude” and “Have multiple streams of passive income” but I’ll keep it here and in the future I’ll see about checking them all off!

Right now I’m trying to squeeze in time to finish reading the fly lady book and a book I got least year for Christmas “Often Wrong, Never in Doubt” by Donny Deutsch. Part of my plan is to first get out of credit card debt and save some cash. In order to do that I want to get some more studying done and get a better job in IT. So work harder in the corporate world as a way of eventually escaping the corporate world. Now if only there were a few more hours in a day …

I’m thinking a vending business might be a good idea to bring in some cash without having to invest much time.

When I get around to starting my business I definitely do not want to rent space. I think it’s a bad idea. At least if you own the building you have something you can sell if the business doesn’t work out. You could always keep the building and rent it, sell it, or use it for another business.

I have a few questions about this, do you tip at a coffee shop? If so what makes you tip or not and how do you decade how much to give.

If you see an empty tip jar are you more compelled to tip or do do you think this person must be doing a bad job if they’re not getting any tips.

I got a part time job at a local coffee shop so I can learn about the business. I love coffee and I always thought it would be a good kind of business to open.

What I think I need to do is come up with a 1, 3, and 5 year plan to create a business plan, get organized and start working. Without a plan I’m really just kind of lost.

What type of business to start though…
