pass the MCSE 2003 exams

I really need to get on top of this one. I want to at least start working twoards upgrading my MCSA 2000 to 2003 before Server 2008 comes out!

My wife and I were talking about linux certification since I have two linux servers at work now and I’m learning about it, but I think I should get my microsoft certifications back on track and then get Linux + before I think about looking for a new job. All the experience is good, but I think having the experience and the certification means a lot more to employers.

I really need to start working on this. This really will be a help with my make more money goal. I just have a hard time with standardized testing. They just want to see if you’re good at taking tests. So many people are good at taking tests but don’t have hands on expeirence that companies really want. On the other hand they like to see certifications on your resume when they’re looking.

I’m starting a new job at a local coffee shop on Saturday and I’m hoping once the training gets through I can find some time to study between customers. I feel like I need to finish and get the certification soon so I can move on to a better job and then eventually save some money towards starting my own business down the road. I’m not sure how much longer I can stand the cubicle world.

Right now I’m trying to learn more about linux because we are planning on running a server on linux at work soon. We already have a redhat server and they want to use this new server with ubuntu (because it’s free) so I’m trying to learn what I can about that.

I’m going to start reading my study guides for the 70-292 exam and hopefully get that out of the way soon. That will upgrade me to MCSA 2003. Then I’m going to work on the rest of the MCSE courses I need and I(hopefully) start looking for a better paying job.

I really need to get going on this. This will help me find another (better I hope) job. Either way it will raise my earning potential and I’ll learn more. I got a practice exam for the 70-292 test which will upgrade my MCSA to server 2003. From there I will only have a few more to go in order to get MCSE 2003. I hate taking tests, but I can do it.
