I found a site where people can download stock photos for free. As a photographer you can upload photos and share the return they get on the ads placed on your photo pages.

There isn’t much there now but I’ll be adding more photos all the time. I’m hoping I can use some money from this to buy a nicer camera and do some more serious photography.

stock photos 14 months ago

I’m trying to get some photos on shutterstock.com to see if I can start making some money there. Today I found out that they won’t take anything less than 4 Megapixels and my camera is 3.9.

Fortunately they allow photos to be upsized by 5% so I can squeak by until I can get a better camera.

I’m hoping to some day turn this hobby into some income. Right now I just take photos I like in my spare time. I have a photo submitted to jpg magazine for their surroundings theme which is scheduled to be published in issue 15. I hope my photo makes the cut!

I’m interested in figuring out how to sell prints on deviantart. I have some photos up there but I’m not sure how that whole thing works. Do I print out the images and mail them, or does deviantart do that and take a cut? I’m not sure.
