get glasses

this saturday, i have an appointment for an eye exam – finally! it’s gotten really bad. i can’t read the inventory tags at work. i can’t read subtitles for a movie.

i protracted the necessity of lenses by acquiring a 36” monitor via craigslist. and, challenging myself failed to motivate. i will, pay the consequence. still, two more months, i get benefits!

because it’s something that i will always put off in favor of more pressing or exciting needs, but it just has to be done.

in august, my lens popped out, and while looking for it, i stepped on it. the frames were already falling apart, and the prescription was very old.

since then, i’ve been avoiding subtitled films because i get headaches. legally, i can’t even drive without them, and that’s part of my new job.
