A friend of mine who’s a writer has offered to sit down with me and have a good close look at my poetry. He’s read it and says it’s potentially good but it needs some cutting, shaving, cleaning up etc. I’m really looking forward to it because it means taking my poetry more seriously, taking it to the next level (well, it was already a big step for me to have someone read it! I thought that was soooo scary!).
