move to seattle

I hate Atlanta, the people in GA are the most ignorant people In the entire country. The air quality is abysmal. People here are fat and don’t walk anywhere. People here can’t hold a conversation intelligently. People here are way too image oriented. Ghetto, right-wing republican, ignorant, trashy, uneducated, close minded…..

I need to get out of debt first

I know Seattle is beautiful, but is the actual core city of Seattle a wonderful place that will change everyone’s lives? I know the water and mountains are awesome, but the city is small, with only one half a million residences. There are dozens of cities in the US of that same size. In my experience living in Atlanta, a city of similar size, these places do not have the infrastructure to support more people. That’s why most people live out in the suburbs, not because of choice, its because of lack of infrastructure as the result of years of city planning geared towards single family homes has resulted in high in-town prices. Finally, we are seeing many high density residential units, however many people like myself are holding out because there seems to be a sense that the developers are profiting largely off of these over-hyped places, and the sense of getting a good deal in the real estate market is not there for us young professionals who are not ready to be stuck with high mortgage payments. I understand that a roommate is a possibility, but I currently can afford to live alone in a very large apartment, and I am worried that I will not have the same luxury in a city like Seattle.
One interesting note about Seattle is what does everyone think of all of these troubled youth and others who are trying to somehow “start over”. I read that Seattle is very literate and educated, but doesn’t it kind of ruin that image when you have all of these transients moving in thinking that their lives will change, when after all they realize that they have to work all day long everyday for the rest of their lives no matter what city they live in.
Life never changes, your problems won’t go away by moving to Seattle people.
